Perry For Obama Take Over?

Ok, let’s get this right.  Last week on Faux News, The Gov said. “We don’t trust this administration, and we don’t trust Washington, D.C. to be able to deliver health care in our state”.  One in four of us Texans are uninsured, the highest rate of any state in the Union.  Texas ranks 50th in per capita spending on it’s own citizens.  But Texas Tea Bagger politics and The Gov. will not implement the Affordable Care Act even though it benefits Texas.

The Tea Baggers hate giving anything to the lazy, mostly black, druggies and them damn  illegal aliens who would rather stay stoned all day chatting on the free IPhone’s Obama gave them while watching their Big Screen TV’s than actually work.  This misdirected hatred is so blinding, they can’t grasp the thought that the Medicaid expansion would greatly help almost half the population of Texas.

The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that the Medicaid expansion under the ACA, ObamaCare, would cover 49.4 percent of uninsured Texans by 2019.  The program is broadened to cover Americans within 133 percent of the poverty line. In Texas the current the eligibility for a working Texan parent cuts off at 27 percent of the poverty line. Under the ACA, the federal government will cover the full cost of the first three years and pay 90 percent thereafter.  But the hatred of Obama is so strong these Tea Baggers will go to any lengths to oppose anything his administration does to try and help the working poor and middle class, even as most of these clowns that support The Gov. fall in these classes.  Classic case of cuttin’ off your nose to spite your face.

The Gov. continued on Faux News, stating “We’ve got some of the finest health care in the world, so the idea that this federal government, which doesn’t like Texas to begin with, to pick and choose and come up with some data and say somehow Texas has the worst health care system in the world is just fake and false on its face.”

Do these dupes even realize that in their zeal to oppose anything Obama proposes, they actually have given Obama control to come and implement everything they hate?

  1. Looks like as the GOP hardline governors opt out of the state-based exchanges, they are not opting their states out of Obamacare and have just abrogated their authority over the insurance exchanges to the federal government. Now Obama is free to step in and offer all the people in these states health insurance based on a national risk pool, rather than state based. The bigger the pool, the cheaper it is.

The insurance companies have been complaining that they will be out of the health insurance business in the next couple of years. Looks like by opposing Obama just because he is Obama is going to bring on single payer that much faster and that’s a good thing for all.

  2. Hardline? Hard lies from your lame streamer. Obummer forced this down our throats. We don’t get to chose anything. Our Next President Perry was right to throw this in Obummer face. All this is going to do is take our freedom to go to what ever doctor we want and have some Dumocrat in Washington tell us where we can go for a DEATH PANEL Review. We just have to wait to the next election and we will have a Perry/Jindal or Palin administration and all this crap will be thrown in the trash and my social security wont be lost and I’ll be able to go to my same old doctor.

    1. There’s a reason you’re soppused to be at least 18 to vote. The hope is well, MY hope is, that by the time you’ve reached that age, you’re able to understand longer, more complex, nuanced sentences. Does it not BOTHER you that Republicans have won the last couple of elections by speaking down to people and appealing to their basest instincts?

  3. If Texans truly want to secede, let them. The state seems to be a breeding ground for craziness and various forms of good ol’ boy bigotry. The government of the United States of America will be saving 10’s of billions of dollars per year on all forms of federal spending in Texas. Unfortunately for everyday Texans, this decapitation of federal spending in the state will include Social Security and Medicare payments, highway spending, any FEMA and BLM spending to assist with natural calamities, aid to education, air-traffic control, National Guard and military base spending, etc, etc.
Granted, the ratio of what Texans pay in taxes to Washington versus what they receive in federal spending is 75-80% of the in-state federal spending. Some Texans may look at that and think the other 20-25% can be easily made up from their own in-state economy. And, I’m sure there is some truth to that. However, what that simplistic analysis ignores is that when the Feds “self-deport” from Texas after a successful secession, there will be huge amounts of federal spending that simply won’t occur in an independent Texas. Fighter jets, anyone? Battle groups of tanks exercising in the desert? The expenditures represented by these groups will simply vanish from the Texan economy, as will all of the support jobs fed by those expenditures. Aerospace industry? Hey, Washington! Want to support the great secessionist state of Texas by purchasing some advanced aeronautics systems from them? How about beef from yet another foreign nation with inadequate inspection procedures? Oh, and once those pipelines cross the Texan borders, what’s that tariff going to be on the natural gas and oil they carry? Not to mention the interruptions and delays to shipments by train and truck. Also, every Texan will have to carry a Texas passport to enter the U.S.A. and wait in lines at border crossings to every bordering state. That might slow down the old interstate trade just a tad.
So, I salute you, Texas! Tighten up your ten-gallon hatbands, strap on your six-shooters and prepare to start pulling yourselves up by your bootstraps…all by your lonesome, you lone-star devils, you!

    1. Not to mention the fact that what these clips (and ohrtes like them) are trying to point out is that Republicans’ most popular catchphrases don’t even MEAN anything, and where they do have meaning, that meaning is intellectually insulting. But then, that makes my first point, doesn’t it? They don’t intend to appeal to people’s intellect.

  4. so, i think this is hilarious on one hand. But you also have to raezile that the Democrats are frequently incapable of turning off this disparaging snarkiness OUTSIDE of a comedy show and they come off as arrogant big-city jerks (insert a stronger word if you like). and that is what costs them elections each time. Ever hear the saying that Democrats elect wise-college professor types and Republicans do well with Frat-boy/Football captain types. Obama (Bill Clinton, etc) speaks in long complex nuanced sentences. Palin (Bush, and other Republicans) in comfortable speaking to 6 year olds. Speaks in simple sentences.
